I dont know for sure but I think so. I had a cuban sandwich that was amazing for lunch there.
Ms. Neff, I am terribly sorry that you experienced that kind of service here at the pineapple tea room. As the owner, I will make sure to take the needed steps in correcting this type of behavior. We hope to serve you once again soon in a better fashion.
Excellent food and even better coffee.
The food here is just.... AMAZING!! We went to the Mine & Rail (Pineapple Tea Room) on Friday night. They had live music and were pretty busy. Took a little while to get our food because of them being that busy but DEFINITELY worth the wait. Chef Rick really knows his stuff. Highly recommend this place. Bring all your friends!!
So charming. I just love the place:)
Food was great , and waitress did a great job made us feel at home .
Great atmosphere and selection. I reccomend the Nard Dog coffee, tomato basil bisque, and grilled cheese. A great combination on a rainy day.
Creative sandwiches, burgers, and coffee drinks. The size and presentation of the coffee was really something! I had the Clark Griswold in a large and the mug was so big that it took both hands and the topping was as pretty as it was tasty! I will definitely be back!
Love this small town cafe
Yummy coffee and sparkling sodas. A great place to rest after a long hike.
Very friendly lady employee and good ice cream!
The best of everything ❤
Great Restaurant! Sue is very helpful and friendly! Great atmosphere especially during festivals or at night! Try the Pineapple Tea!! Nothing like It!!
Food with some actual flavor! My wife and I grabbed burgers here for lunch for the first time and were blown away. We will not be wasting our time at other places anymore, we will be eating here.
I mean if you want a HUGE burger go here it was so amazing I felt bad I didn't finish it. But the pineapple tea they gave me didn't have enough pineapple in it it was mostly water.
Tasty food. Beautiful little town. I was there in the snow and had a very enjoyable dinner.
3.5 stars. Good food, great atmosphere but be patient. Small restaurants have small staff and take a little linger to serve food. But taste was great.
Good food, modern menu, excellent service
They ran out of chicken salad and didn't tell us until 15 minutes later. They ran out Friday evening so why didnt they make more Saturday morning. So I said a hamburger well guess what no more hamburgers 😑. So I ended up with chicken tenders and fries for a charge of 9.00I have to watch what I eat so couldn't do other foods on the menu
Amazing food, great service.. will be back.
Fantastic little gem! Super friendly staff & best cup of local coffee I've had in a long time. Highly recommend!
Great desserts and coffee
My first time there and the place was a mess the server instantly gave us a long list of what they didn't have. Was looking forward to eating here but was very dissapointed. Won't be back!
Done with this place. I usually bring 4-8 people with me, at least once a month. We drove an hour with visitors, only to be told we had to sit outside in 98 degree weather because they weren't doing indoor service. We were told we could go somewhere else if we wanted to eat inside... so we will, every time from now on. Good way to lose a regular customer who recommended the place at every opportunity.
Quaint location. Ordered fish and chips. For the price, I expected Cod. I should have asked because it was Tilapia. It appeared to have been frozen filets that were heated on site.
Food is usually good, with great pineapple sweet tea, but the service could be better. The waiter was sat with several tables and was the only person working. The poor guy was swamped, so after waiting about 30 minutes for him to get back to our table I walked over to the counter to ask for a refill and the OWNER refused to give me a refill and told me I had to wait for the waiter since I was sat in the restaurant side of the place. So I never got a refill because the waiter never came to check on me after that.
Great food and atmosphere! I got a grilled cheese, loaded potato soup, and a chai tea. All of it is amazing! The folks here are super nice and friendly, and the shop is totally cute. Relaxing coffee shop vibe and music, great menu, and a good place to study or for business.
Nice little get-away nestled in the heart of Cumberland Gap, TN. I remember this particular loation as the grocery store in years past. Now it is a lovely, cozy place to dine. Selections from delicious burgers to scrumptious meals. Friendly service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere and fabulous food. Palette pleasing!Enjoy a meal here and then venture on over to the "Iron Furnace" for visual and historic delights.Make a day of it in this wonderful community .
A very pleasant place to grab a bite or coffee or etc. In central downtown Cumberland Gap, TN! You can't go wrong.
Omg! For us to be in the midst of a pandemic, the pie was amazing, the coffee...amazing, the employees...amazing. Overall a wonderful experience. It was a perfect place to catch up with an old friend over coffee and pie! Will definitely be back
A well hidden gem. Cumberland Gap is a relatively short drive from Knoxville and for such a tiny Town, it has so much to offer... not the least of which is the Pineapple Tea Room. The food and service were fantastic. My wife had some simple comfort food: a grilled cheese panini with two cheeses and thick sourdough bread and a nice bowl of tomato soup. I, on the other hand, had a Beet Burger... Once I saw it on the menu I could think of nothing else. Chickening out slightly, I added cheese and bacon (I know... I know...). It came with fries and both were excellent! The fries were perfectly crisp and the Beet Burger was tasty and moist. Next time, I'll have one without the bacon!
Amazing food. Absolutely the best in the whole region.
So, I have never wrote a review before but the owners of this place are ridiculous. I walked in @ 04:55 and was wanting to order a couple of burgers because I have heard that they are really good. The waitress tells me that they quit serving the lunch menu at 5 o'clock. The waitress then walks back to talk to the cook and he tells her he has already put everything away. She walks back out and I tell her that my wife was really looking forward to trying their burgers and she says well we have really good steak. I looked at the menu and they was $20+ dollars. So, all they wanted was to take me for more money. I would prefer to give small businesses my money even if their food are a bit more expensive. Also, if their burgers were as good as people say they would have had regular visits from us. However, in this case I am going to sonic or Burger King because at least they will serve a burger that is on their menu unlike this place.
Such a lovely place! Great coffee and food. Service was on point and the waitress was able to recommend lots of local activities. Can't wait to visit here again.
Really great food and service! Well worth the trip.
The perfect "friends/cheers" experience. Entering The Pineapple Tearoom is a welcoming experience you'll want to have again. Comfortable diverse seating options plus steak, burgers and specialty menu items, like fish and chips, all in a 100 yo historical building @ the BASE of the Pinnacle in The Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. You can walk to the bakery, art co-op, frame shop or two covered bridges and a restored train tunnel only minutes away.
A little gem tucked away. The food is hands down the best in the area. Chicken salad is to die for. Friendly staff and a great enviornment.
The drink I had was awful. I'm not sure if they used expired milk or what the off putting flavor was but I couldn't drink it. $5 straight into the garbage. It looks like a cute place so I'll give it an extra star but based on my experiences I will probably go back to the gap creek coffee house and skip this place entirely next time I'm in town.
There were four items on the menu the evening we dined. Accomodations were made for the vegetarian in our group. This is a pleasant place, one of the few places in the valley to find wifi. Friendly staff.
FANTASTIC. The food was top notch. The service was what the best. If you need a great spot for a break. This is it.
The Pineapple Tea Room is a quiet little corner cafe in Cumberland Gap, Tn. The Pineapple tea they have is very good, they also have regular tea and coffee along with an assortment of espressos. I ordered the Big Kahuna it was definitely big enough 3 eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon a pancake and potatoes. The service is good and the atmosphere is great for a small town.
I've never had anything that wasn't delicious here. The service is the friendliest around. Definitely worth the trip to Cumberland Gap!
Great hidden spot right off the highway. Cute little town and the unsweetened pineapple tea is amazing. I'll be sure to come back next time I'm passing through.
The freaking food! Rick and Riley are pretty cool too 😉😁
Good shakes
Comfortably clean friendly very good variety
Cumberland Gap is awesome place to hike
I had a wonderful experience the food was amazing excellent host. I highly recommend this place to eat at.
I wanted a good, hot cup of coffee and lunch. I am not sure of the rules in Tennessee, but most other food establishments are having the employees wear masks...not a one on anyone. The paper-printed menus were very well worn, and I supppose they ran out of paper or ink? The coffee was not at all hot. The Cuban Panini was really good. Wifi was down, but that didn't effect my rating.
Love this flashback of history of the coal mines photography on diner. Excellent food wonderful service blessed by this unique variety in homemade sandwiches
Staff were rude and inhospitable. Used to love this place but definitely will not be back again.
